I am concluding that if you are currently between 42-55 you can use computers in the current state we find them. If you are above or below this threshold very little of the approaches make sense (yes there outliners) but generally using a computer is unreasonable unintuitive for everyone else!

Too many people signed off work for mental health issues… let’s just leave that sentence there… wow. It seems again profit over people is the mantra. No one in government or opposition has any idea about the real world. Capitalism is hell.

Tried to get AI to list for me the remaining fixtures in league 2 English football where the current top 7 would play each other. They all failed.

Of course the only train that suddenly speeds up and catches up on being delayed is the one I originally wanted, so I ended up missing it🤦

This bonus was nearly double his salary of £567,000.

Games can and should help us understand this system for what it is and envision alternatives. Daybreak is a phenomenal example of just such a game, and for that it couldn’t be forgiven.

Triggering Memories

Yesterday a student asked me if we have a Lightbox, this hasn’t happened for years, we now have very light and bright what they call A3 light tables. This request reminded me of one summer when my mum (and perhaps Grandad) helped me build a Lightbox for my studies, I felt the cost of a shop bought one wasn’t something I wanted to afford or could really afford, this also reminded me that when I started University my Grandad would send me money each month (into my bank). He was keen on Art and asked me a lot about what I was learning, he painted a little himself but had always worked for Thames Water, no one in our family had gone to University but it felt more like I was the first to be able to truly follow my passion, that of studying Animation, both Mum and Grandad are now gone, Grandad didn’t even get to see me complete my BA, Mum saw me get my PhD, but didn’t make it to the official ceremony itself. It’s funny how things trigger memories.

You hear about it and then you see it SW Trains forgot to provide ramp for wheel chair user. They could thankfully manage the few steps out with help from a friendly passenger although no doubt hard work and embrassing but able to alight at the station needed. CEO made £1.4M. Broken Britain.

Classic poor design of a new building not considering that people might mistake this as an entrance so having to stick up a bit of paper and an arrow. Should have considered this and incorporated into the door design / glass.

Image of a door with a paper signing telling people where the actual entrance is with an arrow.
