Chinook Beer now bottled, next a few days for the refined sugar to add a little fizz and then cooling/clearing period (min 10days). I had forgotten the 48 bottles I have are 1 litre so I have realised that I can start a new brew instantly as I have more than enough for two batches to be on the go 🍺

Before marrying my Dad my mum followed Chelsea. Becoming more of a Dons follower after but back in 1966/67 she received the supporters newsletter in which they were considering starting a ladies team as was Wimbledon Supporters’ club. In 2 days time the National team play in the World Cup final! ⚽️


Home brew batch one is set to cooling / ready to refrigerate - should allow 10 days / 2 weeks however I have had to try some a few days in as batch two is under way and I am now aiming for 24 batches. Tastes like a good IPA hydrometer suggested 4.5% before adding any fizz, I am agreeing.
In 1966 England hosted the World Cup and went on to win it. Photos of some of material my late mum kept from then. Now this Sunday England may well win the World Cup again. It’s been a long time but as the nation sings “it’s coming home” it might well be…
