Cannot for the life of me work out how activity pub + mastodon is working with micro.blog now. Have added my mastodon name as an alias as well now to see if that helps. Just seems random

This morning I have been mainly stressing about how my blog on micro.blog works with my mastodon on fosstodon.org the idea is I post on my blog and syndicate to mastodon and any mentions come back at me on my micro.blog timeline but the mentions part seem to be hit or miss

I’ve have always had cross posting set up from my feed.json to my mastodon account on fosstodon - I have now removed my micro.blog compatible name and removed linking my fosstodon as alias which I only did today. Let see if they clears up any of this mess. @help

Worked it out I am cross posting to my mastodon on fosstodon and there I am following people but I can also follow them now on MB if I mention inline that’s fine but @ at start doesn’t work. I was seeing some reply’s in MB as I also had a mastodon compatible name set up (mistake)

In other weird news micro.blog let’s me follow @d@wao.wtf but claims no posts yet when I check my mastodon app there is lots :(

Recalling why I hate social media and the mastodon effect is now hitting me on micro.blog you expect posts to make an impact and people to respond but 9/10 they just don’t. So remember write for yourself no one else. Of course writing openly means you & perhaps others can reflect
