slight panic attack Strata app had lost a load of edits. I saved it from doing that oh my word! I was having so much fun with notes/ strata I jumped on my phone but it wasn’t up to date when I started edited and almost saved, thankfully had left mac app / browser open. @manton is there versioning

Manton Reece

Yikes! No, no versioning yet for notes. We have versioning for blog posts and plan to copy that system over to notes too.

Manton Reece

Until we have versioning, I recommend grabbing an export of your notes every couple weeks just in case disaster strikes. Will make things more robust for editing conflicts in the future.

@manton dam I was really loving it for what I needed to do this throws a bit of a spanner in the works of my process :( it was such a neat solution for me to have private document I can edit on the go and share for comments with selected friends (edited)

@manton also ignore the ******* that because of not being able to scroll in ios app editor and there is no work around for replies :( For selected friends is what I typed

Looking into adding some basic versioning behind the scenes now. I think I can roll it out as a backup and then expand it to be more user-facing.

Dr. Adam Procter

@manton yes !

@manton I've almost done the same thing and would love versioning.

@heyloura I've rolled out the first phase of note versioning: it now saves a copy of each revision to a note, saved for up to 60 days. There is a new API endpoint to retrieve the versions of a note. However, there's no UI to actually see them yet… That'll come later in the apps, but at least we now store the data.

Dr. Adam Procter

@manton wow!

Loura

@manton Awesome! Thank you! When I get some free time I'll try out the endpoint 😄
