I have/had a very similar fringe style connect to FOSS and FSF although I did meet rms once.
To note my own day to day software use though mainly still ‘trapped’ in the macOS/ iOS eco system. Might try POP!
Eivind Hjertnes there is a lot to deal with in the world of foss or in tech in general. A problem I can see is the effect of only interacting with other geeks / developers and how you turn into something anti social behaving in a way that most people consider unacceptable.
