I love my HHKB so I'm not keeping the Ultimate Hacking Keyboard and could be convinced to sell it if you're thinking in that direction.

I think I saw some folks around here talking about the Keychron recently. Seems interesting, but haven’t tried one myself.

@petebrown oh intresting

Dr. Adam Procter

@jack I am not into split keyboards myself

Pete Brown

Yeah, I’m trying to remember who it was that got one and was talking about it. The LEDs seem a little gimmicky to me, but the hardware looks pretty decent.

Jack Baty

Turned I wasn't either :).

Dr. Adam Procter

@petebrown I do like the look indeed... I think based on use I might go for 87 LED black… adding to wishlist

Dr. Adam Procter

@jack ha fair enough… I think as a second less used KB I dont want to rock the boat that much 😂

Pete Brown

@jack SPLIT KEYBOARDS ARE FOR WEIRDOS.

@petebrown The Keychron does look interesting. I’d like a new keyboard but prefer low profile. Most of the ‘nice’ keyboards are mechanical and thick.

My favourite keyboard is the Topre Realforce with variable weights but it's on the expensive side. You could try some of the other classics if you haven't yet: Filco Majestouch, CODE Keyboard, or WASD Keyboard. Or Vortex POK3R or some Ducky if you want to try a compact format.
