pretty sure it was on micro.blog I saw an article explaining how midjourney was training on flickr creative commons images and that data set can be seen to be bias as for example there was no southern hemisphere cities in the data…. if anyone can remember this and reshare… hunting my stuff…

The dataset contains more than 10,000 images each of London, Paris, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, and Hong Kong, which outnumber those of other cities. Note the gaps here: all cities of the Northern hemisphere. When I ask Midjourney for an image of a city, I see traces of these locations in the output.

I love overcast but I hate it when like all other iOS apps you tap a notification and it fails to follow you to said notification and of course determines it “read” so you have no idea what you tried to follow
