Stephen Pieper Apple at least has a little bit of history in liking and supporting music and musicians. I think the people running Spotify are just awful.
Pete Brown Yeah, same here. Spotify has always seemed vaguely creepy and gross to me, and stuff like this helps me put specifics to my gut reaction.

Manuel Riess @stefp I got sceptical after I saw this thread on Twitter. The data they collect is really more than creepy. Also, there is still no official way to get all this information, despite GDPR.
Ron Guest @hutaffe I downloaded all the data Apple has on me including all the songs I had ever liked and so on. I didn’t find anything creepy.
Greg McVerry I think it is time to take back personal media ownership. A monthly membership fee = on CD a month and install a media server... I have no idea why people embrace low bit rate streaming and renting music.
